TOPICS
- Introducing STAMP, STPA, and CAST into organizations;
- Evaluations and comparative studies with other approaches;
- Enabling effective oversight and quality control of STPA;
- Experiences using STPA, STPA-Sec, and CAST;
- Using STPA to make decisions;
- Regulatory and Certification/Licensing decisions;
- Risk management and identifying leading indicators;
- Applications to security and other areas such as workplace safety;
- Safety Management System (SMS) development and evaluation;
- Tools, processes, and other support for analysis and design using STPA and CAST;
- STAMP, STPA and Artificial Intelligence.
GUIDELINES
The workshop will prioritize industry applications and practical user experiences, but theoretical and academic proposals will also be considered.
Submit a draft presentation: slides (25 slides maximum) OR extended abstract (2 pages maximum, using LASTAMP24 Template). Submissions after that date will be considered but will have a lower priority.
The works approved for the workshop will be presented in slide format, which must be sent by the final slides submission date.
Submissions (slides or extended abstract) should explain:
- The topic or problem you studied;
- How you went about solving the problem;
- Case examples (with control structure, Unsafe Control Actions, Loss Scenarios);
- Insights/conclusions of your work showing value. Be sure to include enough information for reviewers to evaluate the work. The information includes relevance to the workshop and the overall quality of the work.
